In the Small Carpathian region you can taste the best  wine of the region and of the country,  or honey liquor “medovina”, learn about wine making in the area, taste traditional meal – roasted goose with potato pancakes and sweet-sour red cabbage. You can visit well preserved Red Stone Castle with one of the biggest collection of falconry in Slovakia, accompanied by a show, Castle in Smolenice, manors and bourgeois houses in Pezinok and in Sväty Jur, learn about traditional manufacturers (majolika), amazing woods and Driny cave.

Záhorie, the country between the river Moravia and the western hillsides of the Small Carpathian, offers pilgrimage places such as Marianka and Basilica in Šaštín, the small picturesque town of Stupava with traditional  cabbage festival, Holíč, former economic centre of the imperial court, Skalica with  traditional cake “trdelník” or dentelle tortes, technical historical monuments such as mills, or Baťa’s  canal on the river Morava which can be sailed down.

Podunajsko is a never-ending plain with a special muck soil and thermal springs. Aquaparky, Water Sport area “Divoká voda” (wild water) and gallery of modern art Danubiana, area of racing cars, off-road and slide school in Orechova Potôn, golf, horse riding zone and other sports, as well as castle hotels can be found in the region on the Danube’s banks. An essential part of this is the Small Danube with its water mills and sailing routes.
